Tannins are used in the wine making process to help clarify wine, to give astringency to red wine and to help preserve bottled wine.

Wine tannin powder: 1 oz.
Found in the skins, seeds, and stems of grapes. It gives the wine astringency or character. It helps wine to clear and prolongs the life of a good wine. Normal dose, 1/2 tsp. per gallon, see recipe directions as dosage varies with recipe.
